- Vintage Condition: Excellent vintage condition with beautiful natural patina. No major chips or cracks. Please review photos for exact aesthetic condition.
- Historical Markings: The bottom of the piece features a handwritten inscription. It reads "42.6.11", representing June 11, 1967 (Showa Year 42). The second line reads "オオニシ にて" (At Oonishi's / By Oonishi), denoting either the original collector's acquisition detail or the artisan's signature.
- Artistic Style: A wonderful example of Japanese Mingei (folk craft) wood sculpture. The artisan brilliantly utilized the natural concentric rings of the timber to create the fluid organic contours of the mouse.
