For sale is an authentic, vintage Japanese hand-carved wooden Tengu figure. This beautiful piece of traditional Japanese Mingei (folk art) features detailed hand-painted red and white facial features and stands on its natural root/wood base.

• Origin: Kirishima region, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan
• Artisan Signature: Hand-signed on the bottom ("Kirishima" and the maker's mark "Ichio")
• Provenance: Historically noted as collected around June 11, 1963, in Okinoerabu, Kagoshima.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition with beautiful natural wood grain texture and original paint.
